Win-Win Advertising in a Perfect World

Win-Win Advertising in a Perfect WorldWouldn't it be nice if we lived in a perfect world? A world where people agreed to help each other, not by signing a contract, but just by keeping their word?

Look at all the on-line advertising going on. You've got Google AdSense everywhere, Amazon associates, and affiliate programs by the thousands. The opportunities and the risks are huge! Wouldn't it be nice if we could synergize and come up with a win-win situation for the web page authors and the pay-per-click advertisers?

Wouldn't it be nice if you could say:

"Send me your website url and I will do a couple of things with it to help you out."

"First I'll add a link to your website to help your placement in the search engines."

"Second, I'll visit your site with the intent to look at your advertising because I know if I click on one of your Ads, you will make money. But in all fairness, I also know that someone else will spend money and I must be considerate of them. Therefore I will not click on more than one ad from your website - ever! It must be an ad I'm interested in and that I intend to look at with the intent to buy what they're selling."

"You see I set aside $25 to $50 per week to buy 'something'. So I will visit your site and find an ad that looks appealing to me and click on it with the intent to buy. I will do this one time for each site that is submitted to me. At the end of the week, after viewing all the sites and clicking 1 ad on each of them, I will make my purchase. I ask that you, by submitting your site to me, do the same thing."

"I ask that you visit every link on my 'Sites' page and click on each one of them. Read the site carefully and click on 1 ad that appeals to you the most. Do this for each person on my site list, because they've agreed to do it for you. And you'll know it's happening because most affiliate programs track the clicks and earnings for their program."

"You never have to revisit any site twice. And you must not click on more than 1 ad per site, because that would be unfair to the advertisers. Remember, we're in this to buy something from our advertisers each week. May the best product win!"

"Then we just revisit the site page every week, say Saturday, and visit the new sites only and repeat the process. This way everybody wins. The sites that are submitted win because everyone involved is visiting everyone's site once and clicking on 1 ad, so everyone makes money from the ad. The advertisers win because their product/service is being viewed by people with the intent to buy. At the end of the week, many people win because everyone involved is actually purchasing a product from one of the advertisers."

"In review:

1. You submit your site to me by sending me an email that says: 'Hey, I like your site, here's mine.'. It doesn't have to say more than that, I'll understand. I add your site to my site list.

2. You view my site and click on 1 ad that appeals the most to you. I do the same for you and everyone who has joined so far does the same for you.

3. You then visit every site on my site list 1 time and click on 1 ad. You never do this more than once per site.

4. You view the advertisements that appeal to you the most with the intent to buy!

5. At the end of the week you make a product selection that appealed the most to you out of all the advertisements that you viewed and you make a purchase.

6. Then you check back regularly, say once a week, and visit the new sites that you haven't visited already and repeat the process."

Yes, it would be nice to believe that cooperation like that could work. And, with enough people, people with integrity, people who keep in mind all parties involved, it could work. I ask myself if I'm that kind of person. I believe I am. Are you?
