Photo Correction 101: Auto Color

The most basic form of color correction is the auto-color command in Adobe Photoshop. We can use the Auto-Color Command in photoshop to automatically adjust the Color and Contrast of our photograph in one simple click. This function is useful for:

- Basic Color Corrections
- Removing Color Casts
- Improving images overall contrast

Let's experiment, open up a document in Adobe Photoshop that needs some basic color correction done to it.

As you can probably tell, there is a huge color cast over the whole image, the sky appears greyish blue (along with most of the buildings), and there is not much contrast in the document. However, if we use Adobe
Photoshops Auto Color feature, we can work wonders with our images color. Go ahead and try:

The blue haze color cast has been removed almost completely, and the color of the buildings have been brought out with the help of Adobe Photoshop's Auto Color. Thanks to this useful tool, we can now enjoy a more realistic photograph. As mentioned earlier, this method is not the best way to correct all of your color problems. Some color issues are best handled with more custom adjustments rather than Adobe Photoshop's automatic Color correction tool.
