1. Open up Cinema 4D
2. Now, the first thing we need to do is import our paths that we exported in Photoshop. .ai files are compliant with Cinema 4D which is why I had you export them as those. To import your paths into C4D, go to File > Open, and then simply open the .ai file you saved earlier:
3. You should see your paths come up in the main view port on Cinema 4D. The next thing we need to do is add Extrude Nurbs to our path. To do this, go to Objects > Nurbs > Extrude Nurbs. Nothing will happen, but that is ok.
4. The reason nothing appears to happen is because we have not yet applied these extrude nurbs to our path. To do this, Go over to the objects tab (on the top right of C4D) and drag your path into the Extrude Nurbs.
5. Your render will now extrude along the z axis! Easy! Now, if you want to mess with the lengths and attributes in your extrude nurbs, click the extrude nurbs in your object panel, and then go to your Attributes Panel (located in the bottom right of C4D). In this Panel, select the attributes tab (may be selected by default) and you should see some different movement properties. If you want to give your logo more depth, simply increase your z-value (third box on the movement adjuster). Keep messing around with these dimensions until you find what your looking for!

Hope this helps you out! After you complete this, try going back and making a more complex logo. The more original the better!
